My name is Diego. I’m an innovative and passionate artist based in Hickory. My journey in art began as a child in 2002 when I discovered my love for drawing. My talent became evident early on when I won a drawing contest in elementary school for a school mascot, igniting a lifelong commitment to creative expression.
In 2013, I became a licensed tattoo artist, officially merging my love for drawing with body art. This pivotal moment laid the foundation for my artistic career, leading me to establish INKEM INK in 2019—a creative haven where we bring ideas to life through our unique tattoo designs.
My deeply rooted passion is dark art, exploring themes that resonate with the complexities of human experience. My artistic style is diverse, encompassing painting and various forms of visual art, all infused with a distinctive flair.
Looking toward the future, I aspire to form collective and passionate artists in rural areas, fostering an environment where different styles and perspectives can flourish. I aim to create a supportive community that encourages collaboration and artistic growth.

My name is Rico and i am a resident in McDowell county. Since I was a kid, drawing and coloring have always been my passion. Creating my own book by hand at the age of six was a defining moment, setting the stage for what was to come! When I first picked up a tattoo machine at 15, alongside my cousin, I knew I had found my calling. Through relentless practice on family and friends, honed my skills, always striving to create something new and amazing. The expressions on people’s faces when they see my work-that’s the ultimate reward. This is my dream, my passion and I’m very pleased to see where my journey takes me! Now, specializing in black and red, lettering, and anime tattoos, but NEVER limited, I’m ready to bring your vision to life! Let’s create something incredible together.

Hi, my name is Lynnsey, also known as @lynnlynntattoos! My story starts in Louisiana, where I grew up drawing on my sisters for fun. If you asked me back then, there was “no way I’d EVER be a tattoo artist!” Funny how things work.
I moved to NYC at 18 for college, majoring in business management. Within a couple years, I dropped out. After working in hospitality for many years, I eventually stumbled into tattooing. I immediately fell in love with the craft and haven’t looked back since!
I found my way to Hickory just a few years ago and you all have treated me well! I love working in realism styles, whether it be color or black and grey, however I’m always open to doing different styles. Bring me your idea and we will find a way to bring it to life! Everybody is welcome in my chair. No matter where you are in your journey, I’m happy it has led to us crossing paths! Let’s create something beautiful together.
